The Biden Land Grab: Killing Jobs, Killing Freedom

Biden Blocks 28 Million Acres in Alaska, Crippling American Energy Independence

  • Biden just locked up 28 million acres in Alaska, reversing Trump’s plan to unleash valuable resources.
  • A $7.5 billion mining project is dead in the water—what’s next on the chopping block?
  • Alaskan leaders warn that this could trigger an energy crisis, but is there a bigger agenda at play?

The Biden-Harris administration has slammed the brakes on resource development in over 28 million acres of Alaska. You know, that little patch of land where Americans once thought they could tap into some of the richest mineral and oil deposits on the planet. But nope, not anymore. Because this administration seems hell-bent on making sure we’re all stuck with sky-high energy bills and shipping in resources from, well, anywhere but here.

Trump had a different vision. In the final days of his presidency, he threw down a land-use proposal that would’ve opened up Alaska’s vast resources to oil and gas development.

But then Biden came along, clutching his environmental playbook like it’s a religious text, and his Department of the Interior hit pause. Now, they’ve promised a long-winded “comprehensive environmental study” that will, of course, lean on local and tribal concerns.

Translation? Don’t hold your breath for any drilling or mining.

The Great Alaskan Lockdown

Interior Secretary Deb Haaland proudly announced that after a “robust public process” (read: endless bureaucratic meetings), they decided these lands need protection. Why? To save “important natural, cultural, and subsistence resources,” whatever that means.

  • “Tribal consultation must be treated as a requirement – not an option – when the federal government is making decisions that could irrevocably affect Tribal communities.” – Interior Secretary Deb Haaland

Well, that sounds nice. But what about the Alaskans who were counting on these projects to feed their families and keep their communities alive?

Ambler Metals, a mining company based in Alaska, had big plans. They proposed a 211-mile road to reach a copper mine worth about $7.5 billion. It got the green light under Trump, supported by Alaska’s entire congressional delegation. But Biden’s crew reopened the case, dragging it through the mud of “environmental impact” studies.

Finally, in June, Biden crowed about preserving 28 million acres from the evils of mining and drilling, effectively torpedoing the project.

A War on Prosperity

And that’s not all. Biden’s been on a mission to cripple Alaska’s energy sector across the board. This year alone, his administration put a stop to oil and gas development on 40 percent of Alaska’s National Petroleum Preserve, all in the name of wildlife conservation.

At this rate, pretty soon we’ll be conserving everything except American jobs and prosperity.

Biden’s moves are part of a grander scheme to lock down 30 percent of the nation’s land and water from development. It’s all for the greater good, they say. But here’s the kicker: while Biden blocks off these critical resources, he’s also pushing a green energy agenda that requires—you guessed it—those very same minerals and metals.

The hypocrisy is astounding. And when it all goes sideways, who’s left holding the bag? The American people, of course.

There you have it. Biden’s latest power play isn’t just about saving the environment. It’s about choking off the lifeblood of American industry and making sure freedom takes a backseat to government overreach. Buckle up, folks—it’s going to be a bumpy ride.
